#ShelfLife - April 14, 2017

We're a little sad to see National Library Week come to an end. We had an especially fun time celebrating National Library Workers Day by reading along with The Librarian of Basra on TumbleBook.

If you have children who are learning to read, be sure to check out TumbleBook in the library, at home, or on a mobile device. There are versions for grades K - 4, 3 - 6, and 6 - 12, so your young reader can follow along with materials that suit their skill and interest levels.

In last week's #ShelfLife recap, we asked you to tell us what you're reading for a chance for your book to be shared on our Instagram feed. One Instagram user shared information about Raising the Floor, and while we had hoped to feature suggested books in our #ShelfLife feed, that book isn't in our collection.

However, this suggestion does give us an opportunity to remind patrons that we participate in interlibrary loan with public and academic libraries all over the country. Learn about how to request a book via interlibrary loan on the library's website. Thank  you, @bovinecow6 for sharing what you're reading and helping us connect our patrons to even more books!

So, who's next? Leave a comment here or tag @forsythpubliclibrary on Instagram for a chance to have the book you're reading featured on our #ShelfLife feed next week.
