Elvis and the Underdogs by Jenny Lee is the featured selection for this month’s STEAM Rollers Book Club. Benji has the choice of wearing a large and embarrassing looking helmet to school or getting a seizure detecting assistance dog to keep him safe. Of course, Benji chooses a dog but he isn’t expecting the largest dog he ever saw named Parker Elvis Pembroke IV who claims he is destined to be the dog of the President of the United States! Elvis helps Benji confront a bully and make some new friends as they embark on a big adventure together.
A special canine visitor from Canine Assistants will be at our book discussion to teach us all about service dogs, their training and the amazing ways they can help their human partners. The STEAM Rollers book club for children in grades 3-6 will be at the Cumming Library on Thursday, March 24 at 4:00 p.m. Registration is recommended.
