The Cumming, Hampton Park, and Post Road branches will host Trick-or-Treat Storytime events October 26 through 31 featuring family-friendly Halloween stories, music, and activities. Children are invited to dress up and participate in a costume parade around the library as they trick-or-treat with library staff.

This special One World Forsyth program will be hosted during the library’s regularly scheduled Twilight Tales storytime and is sponsored by FCPL Friends & Advocates, an independent non-profit organization that raises funds for library programs and materials through sales at the Friends Bookstores.
Barry Stewart Mann’s captivating program includes a selection of stories and poetry from Mexico and across Latin America told in both English and Spanish.
“Using traditional stories and songs, he’ll share the customs and folklore surrounding Día de los Muertos celebrations that honor lost loved ones with music, festivals, and colorful calacas skeleton and calaveras skull decorations,” says Youth Services Supervisor Julie Boyd.
The program is appropriate for all ages and for speakers of every language. Admission to the El Día de los Muertos program is free and registration is not required to participate.
