Items in the Open Bookshelf collection are hand-picked by librarians across the U.S. and there are already more than 1000 titles in the collection, including copies of the classics, works by modern authors, free textbooks, and multicultural children's books.
Open Bookshelf is a free service of DPLA and does not require a library card. To access Open Bookshelf, download the free SimplyE app for Apple or Android devices. Then add the Digital Public Library of America to your SimplyE account and begin browsing the collection to select titles to download.
