Excel Resources for FCPL Patrons

Did you know FCPL patrons have access to free online training on popular software programs like Excel?

Recently Sharon Forks Library offered patrons a chance for hands-on training on Excel, a program used primarily for creating spreadsheets. Participants learned how to create and format a spreadsheet incorporating addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and AutoSum.

The program highlighted free online learning resources available to FCPL patrons like Hoonuit, Learning Express and Universal ClassInfo Based Access Videos are another easy way FCPL patrons can learn about Excel and don't require setting up an account at all. Each video is under five minutes long and focuses on a specific task like navigating the worksheet area or top ten beginner Excel basics. Advanced Excel users can find demonstrations on functions like filtering and calibrating in Excel.

Of course, FCPL patrons have access to plenty of “old school” materials as well. Patrons interested in books on the software can check out Excel 2019 Bible by Michael Alexander or Excel 2019 All-in-One for Dummies by Greg Harvey.
