Meet Elizabeth Hernandez, FCPL's June Library Limelight!

You may have seen her walking around one of the branches with a hand truck and a bin full of books or passed her driving through town in the Library box truck. She’s a critical component of FCPL, making sure that the branches stay connected and clean. Her name is…

Elizabeth Hernandez!

“It’s never the same day twice.” These six words describe a day in the life of FCPL’s June Library Limelight. Holding the position of Courier/Cleaning Assistant, Elizabeth has been making her mark on FCPL for just over four years.

She began at FCPL as the Cleaning Assistant before moving into her current, dual role. Her favorite part of the job is having the opportunity to visit each branch on her daily route. A major accomplishment in this position includes learning how to properly drive the box truck while being the courier driver, and Elizabeth has done a great job doing so!

A Forsyth County native, Elizabeth’s interest in libraries began in high school. Her favorite place to be during lunch or after school was the library! It was always a dream of hers to become a part of it.

Pictured are Elizabeth's dogs:
Katana (Rottweiler),
Zero (English Bull Terrier), and
Karma (German Shepherd)

Outside of her job, Elizabeth enjoys hiking with her dogs in the fall weather and watching anime. She is also a lover of heights. Her favorite book is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. If she could read a book anywhere in the world, it would be in the cold Alaskan weather, watching the northern lights with her dogs.

FCPL is proud to have Elizabeth Hernandez on our team!
