StokerFest at the Cumming Library

 

Calling all vampires and vampire hunters! Sink your teeth into the Cumming Library's adult program series, StokerFest. Throughout the month of October, we will host a variety of programs in celebration of Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula. Upcoming programs include a spooky craft for adults and a visit from a cryptozoologist!

Sparkle or Burn? Vampire Portrayals in Media - Monday, October 9 @ 7:00 p.m.

Vampires have been portrayed in media for over a century now; yet, no two vampires are the same! Join us as we examine vampire lore and discover from where these myths originate.

Monsters of Georgia - Sunday, October 15 @ 2:00 p.m.

Vampires are great, but what about monsters local to Georgia? Join Blake Smith, cohost of the podcast MonsterTalk, to investigate your monstrous neighbors.

CrafterNoon: A StokerFest Craft - Friday, October 27 @ 2:00 p.m. (Ticketed Program)

Never read Dracula? Not a problem! In addition to doing a vampire-inspired craft, we will also have a brief presentation on the novel, its author, and all things vampire. Dress your best in Victorian or vampire fashion!

Writers' Night of Fright - Monday, October 30 @ 7:00–8:30 p.m. (Registration Required)

If you love to write and/or love listening to creepy tales, then this program is for you. Don't forget to dress your best in vampire or vampire hunter attire.
