Stephanie Scarborough, an attorney specializing in family asset planning, wills and trusts, and advanced directives for health care, will speak to parents on January 27 at the Post Road Library. |
“Most of us don’t like to think about our own death. We don’t even want to consider that we could be gravely injured or fall seriously ill, but when children or other dependents are involved, it really is necessary,” says Program and Outreach Manager Tracy Walker.
It is certainly uncomfortable to imagine your family in a situation like this, but accidents and illnesses do happen. Being prepared with a set of legal instructions can help families achieve the best possible outcomes for their children in times of crisis.
Ms. Scarborough will present information on the different types of legal documents and address common questions parents have about planning for the care of their families. She will also address specific concerns about planning for the care of family members with disabilities or other special needs.
