Novelist and TEDx Presenter Soniah Kamal to Speak at Sharon Forks Library

Soniah Kamal, Atlanta-based author of Unmarriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan, will speak and sign books on Saturday, April 27 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sharon Forks Library, 2820 Old Atlanta Road, Cumming.

Newly released from Random House, Kamal’s novel received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and Library Journal and is also an Amazon Best Books pick. Unmarriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan is a charming update on Jane Austen’s beloved novel and an enlivening exploration of class, love, and marriage.


An award winning essayist, fiction writer, and vibrant speaker, Soniah Kamal has delivered a TEDx talk and her works have appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, Buzzfeed, and Literary Hub.

Ms. Kamal is a an excellent speaker, as well, and attendees are in for a treat with this rising literary star.”

Following her presentation, the author will sign books. Copies of Unmarriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan will be available for purchase. Attendees may also bring their own copies of the books for signing. Copies of Unmarriageable: Pride and Prejudice in Pakistan are also available in the library’s catalog.
