Digital Access

Did you know that you can use your FCPL card to access Consumer Reports? 

Consumer Reports is a nonprofit organization that tests products and conducts research. The organization has become a trusted source for information about products - such as appliances, vehicles, technology, and more - by testing safety and performance. The magazine is published monthly and available in FCPL branches. Digital access is also available within the branches. However, you can access articles and reviews from your phone or computer at home or on-the-go, too. 

Here’s how: 

Access Consumer Reports

1. Go to the library website www.forsythpl.org
2. Click on eLibrary
3. Click on eResources
4. Scroll down and click on Consumer Reports
5. Enter your library card number and PIN to receive the GALILEO password.
6. Note the password and click “Click Here.”
7. Type the GALILEO password and click “Continue.”

Search Consumer Reports

1. Click on “Search within this publication” at the top right of page
2. Click on “Advanced Search”
3. In the second search field (not the one that has JN “Consumer Reports”) enter what you are searching for (vacuum, camera, etc.)
4. Click “Search”
5. Click on the “PDF Full Text” link for the individual article that you wish to view.

Browse Consumer Reports

1. Click on the year on the right side of the screen
2. Click on the individual issue you wish to view
3. Click on the “PDF Full Text” link for the individual article you wish to view.

Need a library card? You can register for a library card online and pick up your card at any FCPL location!
