Then, we followed the tides of teen and YA favor with a "text message" from the Hampton Park Library, a recommendation from fellow Instagrammer @rachel.hanlon, and a preview of the creepy classic novel our Teen Book Club will read in October.
Later in the week, we landlubbers returned to shore and turned our attention to the great outdoors. We're looking forward to the upcoming Forsyth Writes Together presentation with local naturalist Mark Warren, author of the Secrets of the Forest series and a memoir, Two Winters in a Tipi. He'll visit the Cumming Library on Thursday, October 5 to talk about his book, his experiences with writing and publishing, and all he's learned from the Cherokee people.
Before we sign off for the week, let us remind you that the library is the place to be during Fall Break. Be sure to check out our program calendar for lots of fun activities (like Puppetpalooza, breakout games for tweens, and the Hispanic Heritage Celebración).
So, what's on your to-be-read pile for Fall Break? Leave a comment below and your book could be featured on Instagram next week!
