Free eResources for FCPL Cardholders - Job and Career Resources

FCPL's Job and Career Resources can help patrons identify career matches, explore occupations, search for jobs and internships, view tools to get hired or explore the career library. Job and Career Accelerator offers helpful information in the Tools To Get Hired section like cover letter and resume building, interview tips, and interview follow up letter examples. My favorite tool is the career match which offers career matches by skills or interest.

Another great eResource for employment is the newspaper and magazines eResource, which includes links to Forsyth's local newspapers. Within the Forsyth Herald under classifieds, you can search for posted job openings. Within the Forsyth County News, if you select more, you will see a link to the Georgia Department of Labor online.

You can create an account with Employ Georgia which will allow you to search for hot jobs, job fairs, and other events. My favorite feature of Employ Georgia is the live stats of current Georgia jobs available and jobs added in Georgia on the previous day. For example, on April 20th there were 1,496 job postings added in the state of Georgia. Furthermore, as of April 21st, the total jobs available in Georgia were 116,763. ("Employ Georgia")
