Celebrating Post Road Library’s 10th Anniversary

Come celebrate the community success of Post Road Library on Saturday, August 12.

It has been an amazing ten years since the Post Road Library opened its doors on August 24, 2013. The branch will be showcasing some of the highlights from the building of the library to many of the past years’ programs. Post Road Library has been well-used, and the numbers prove it! Nearly 700,000 items were checked out in fiscal year 2023 along with over 33,000 patrons attending programs this past year. The numbers astonish even ourselves!

Your little librarians will want to wear their best cardigans to pose behind our miniature Ask Us desk complete with a cash register, keyboard, and scanner.

The Friends of the Library will be conducting a Sidewalk Sale from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. And, don’t forget to visit our Poetry Garden featuring new additional benches installed by a local Eagle Scout. It is a peaceful spot to spend time before or after grabbing some books, or simply escape the heat with its huge shade trees.

It has been a privilege to serve the community and we want to express our gratitude for welcoming us to the neighborhood and allowing us to grow along with you. Thank you!
