Our 2023 Summer Reading Program was a record-breaking success!
Summer Reading is always our biggest program of the year, but this year we had more participants than ever: 7730!
Over 22,000 people attended our 376 library programs between May 25 and July 30.
The number of people who picked up their incentive prizes jumped from 56% to 83%, proving that the lanyards, buttons, and prize books motivated kids more than any prizes we've offered in the past.
Perhaps most impressive of all, our summer reading participants logged a total of 5,961,329 minutes of reading and 103,785 books. Take that, summer learning loss!
A big THANK YOU goes out to our Summer Reading sponsors who made our grand prizes so amazing this year: Rotary Club of Forsyth County, FCPL Friends and Advocates, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the FoCAL Center, and Launch Trampoline Park. All our grand prize drawing winners were notified by email via Beanstack on Friday, August 4, 2023. The photo above includes a few of our lucky winners! If you haven't picked up your prizes yet, please do so as soon as possible. We will do an additional drawing if necessary for unclaimed prizes so please continue to monitor your email for updates.
