Library hosts events during Forsyth County Schools' Spring Break

Forsyth County students are looking forward to Spring Break and we are, too!

  • Stranger Danger
    10:30 a.m., Cumming Library
    The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office helps kids recognize and avoid stranger danger.
  • Life's a Beach!
    11:00 a.m., Sharon Forks Library
    Elementary school students can explore wildlife at the beach!
  • A Groovy Storytime with Pete the Cat
    2:30 p.m., Hampton Park Library
    Join us for a cat-themed storytime, followed by a special visit from Pete the Cat!
  • TweenTech: littleBits STEM kits
    3:15 p.m., Post Road Library
    Tweens (ages 10-12) will use littleBits STEM kits invention kits to explore sensors, circuits, and more! Advance registration required.
  • TWEEN Writer's Club
    4:00 p.m., Cumming Library
    This group is perfect for students ages 8 to 11 who love to write!
  • Family PJ Storytime
    6:30 p.m., Sharon Forks Library
    Snuggle in for stories the whole family will love!

Tuesday, April 7

  • Great Artists: The Birds of Audubon
    11:00 a.m., Hampton Park Library
    Students in grades 3-6 explore paintings of birds by John James Audubon and then create their own work of art.
  • Library Putt-Putt
    11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Sharon Forks Library
    Golfers of all ages can play through 7 book-themed holes of miniature golf. Tickets will be given out to secure a tee time.
  • Touch-A-Truck at Fowler Park
    1:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
    Visit Fowler Park (4110 Carolene Way, Cumming) to explore trucks, cars, and more!
  • Pajama Tales
    6:30 p.m., Post Road Library
    Snuggle in for stories the whole family will love!
  • Manga Club
    6:30 p.m., Hampton Park Library
    Manga and anime for tweens and teens, ages 10 and up.
  • TAB Work Day
    6:30 p.m., Cumming Library
    Earn community service credit by helping with library tasks.

  • Georgia Reptile Society: Live Reptile Presentation!
    1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Post Road Library
    Meet your favorite scaly friends at the library.
  • LEGO® Club
    3:00 p.m., Hampton Park Library
    Kids ages 5-10 can build with a variety of LEGO® bricks.
  • Teen Luau - Hawaiian Night
    6:00 p.m., Sharon Forks Library
    Aloha! Enjoy Spring Break at our Teen Luau. Play beach ball - dodge ball, join a limbo competition, dance our version of the Hula with Hula hoops, and make leis.

  • All FCPL locations are closed in observance of Easter, but you can check out an eBook online to rest and recharge for the return to school on Monday.
