Armchair Bibliotherapy

Do books have therapeutic value?

I believe books do have healing power and I’m fascinated by the concept of bibliotherapy also known as book therapy. Book therapists tailor reading suggestions for mental well-being and can recommend books for things like anxiety, bereavement, or career issues. FCPL doesn’t offer bibliotherapy, but we hope you’ll enjoy these reading suggestions based on emotions many of us may be experiencing right now.

Feeling powerless? These fun reads may help you tackle the day.
